Gebran Tueni Award

Der renommierte syrische Karikaturist Ali Ferzat, der mit seinen weltweit veröffentlichten satirischen Zeichnungen Korruption verurteilt und Diktatoren zur Zielscheibe des Spotts macht, ist der diesjährige Preisträger des Gebran Tueni Award. Mit diesem alljährlich vom Weltverband der Zeitungen und Nachrichtenmedien (WAN-IFRA) verliehenen Preis werden herausragende Persönlichkeiten aus dem Nachrichtensektor im arabischen Raum ausgezeichnet.

El reputado caricaturista sirio Ali Farzat, cuyas ilustraciones satíricas publicadas en todo el mundo son claras denuncias de la corrupción y el poder dictatorial que oprimen al país, ha recibido el galardón Gebran Tueni Award 2012, premio que la Asociación Mundial de Periódicos y Editores de Noticias (WAN-IFRA) concede cada año para homenajear a una figura excepcional del mundo mediático árabe.
